Real World Obedience in a Public Settings This single-session advanced obedience class is designed for dogs who already have a solid foundation of basic obedience and are ready to practice those skills in real-world environments. Instead of working in a quiet training space, we will meet in a public setting with everyday distractions such as people, dogs, shopping carts, noises, food, and movement. Handlers and dogs will work on advanced obedience skills including focused heeling, duration stays, recall, neutrality around distractions, impulse control, and maintaining engagement in busy environments. The goal is to build reliability and confidence while practicing practical obedience skills that apply to everyday life. Because this class takes place in a public environment, dogs must be non-reactive and under control at all times. Dogs displaying aggression, excessive barking, lunging, or inability to remain manageable in public settings may be asked to leave for the safety and comfort of the group. This format is perfect for busy summer schedules, allowing teams to drop into a single focused class without committing to a multi-week course.
